With summer coming to a close, Fawn Ellis asked me to create a video for a Ladies Who UX meetup in Seattle.

The topic:

“How do I develop a point of view?”

This question often comes up in the context of conferences and other public speaking. When there is a call for papers, what do you submit? If you submit something, the reviewers will inevitable ask: is this unique? why this person on this topic?

Over the last ten years I’ve developed interest, expertise and a reputation for developing collaboration, creative culture, and group creativity amongst design teams in tech. This didn’t happen overnight nor was it meticulously planned. That said I did a few things that helped move it along quickly.

Watch this month’s video to find out more.

So, how about you?

What is your unique point of view that the design world needs to hear?
